What an affiliate link does
The site is funded in part through affiliate referrals. A button labelled Visit store goes through a short redirect on animedoll.ca and then opens a merchant’s own website. The destination store sets product prices, checkout, tax collection, shipping terms and after-sales policy.
When a reader completes a qualifying purchase, some merchants may pay animedoll.ca a commission. This relationship does not add a separate commission line to the store’s quoted purchase price. A store may change prices or promotions independently, so the current checkout is the final source for its offer.
The redirect is a commercial link, not a claim that we own inventory or can process a return.

How to recognise commercial links
The clearest sign is the Visit store label next to a model or store. Our disclosure is also placed close to the first commercial action on relevant guides. A reader should not have to infer the relationship from an obscure footer or an abbreviated code.
The Competition Bureau of Canada advises prominent, clear disclosure of material commercial relationships, including commissions that may affect perceptions of independence. We aim to make that connection explicit on the page where it matters.
An ordinary internal editorial link to a care or pricing guide is not a third-party store redirect.
